The meaning of the Moon

Traveling westwards
- Uncle Victor: journey turns out a failure (not successful with his band, dies poor)
- Julian Barber: wants to be inspired by the journey, leaves his old life behind, journey is similar to those of the first pioneers à takes on a new identity, but his new life is based on stolen money and crime
- Marco: reaching the end of the continent which used to be the Frontier, is no longer disconnected, rootless, found a new starting point in life

- Solomon heißt auch Mond
- Solomons Glatze erinnerte ihn immer an den Mond
- Das Restaurant "Moon Palace" welches Marco immer von seinen Apartement aus sah
- Der Satz "the earth ist the past, the sun the present and the moon the future" welchen Marco als Glückskekssatz im Moon Palace Restaurant findet und bis zum Ende mit in seiner Brieftasche rumträgt
- Tesla schrieb den selben Satz in seinem Buch
